A BILL to amend article two, chapter eighteen of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section sixteen-b, relating to the construction of a lodge at camp and conference center.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article two, chapter eighteen of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section sixteen-b, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION.
§
18-2-16b. Construction of lodge at camp and conference center;
financings.
The West Virginia board of education is authorized to borrow funds to construct and equip a lodge on the camp and conference center property, payable solely from the fees, rentals and other charges for use of the camp and conference center, and to grant a deed of trust on the property that is the site of the lodge. For the purpose of borrowing funds for construction and equipping of the lodge, the provisions of article three of chapter five-a of this code shall not apply.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the board of education to construct and equip a lodge on the camp and conference center property.
